Mahindra’s New Electrical Vehicle Is Competing With Tesla For some time now, it has been anticipated that Mahindra will unveil its inaugural electric SUV by December 2024. This new electric SUV is slated to be conceptualized and engineered based on Mahindra’s innovative skateboard platform, known as INGLO. Additionally, the company plans to introduce four additional electric SUV models utilizing this platform, which will be marketed under the E and BE nomenclatures. In 2022, Mahindra showcased five electric SUV concepts, namely the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE05, BE07, and BE09. The first electric vehicle set for release in this lineup is the Mahindra XUV.e8 SUV.

A prototype of the Mahindra XUV.e8 electric SUV was recently sighted undergoing testing on the Chennai-Bangalore highway. Fresh spy shots provide insights into intriguing styling and interior details expected in the upcoming electric SUV. Notably, the size of the Mahindra XUV e8 appears to closely resemble that of the XUV700 SUV.

The new Mahindra XUV E8 electric SUV features a redesigned front fascia, showcasing a connected LED light bar and a vertically stacked headlamp unit. Its closed front grille, angular design, and sharply designed bonnet contribute to its modern aesthetic. The rear profile resembles that of the ICE model. With dimensions of 4740 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1760 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2762 mm, the XUV E8 surpasses the XUV700 in length by 45 mm, width by 10 mm, height by 5 mm, and wheelbase by 7 mm.

Images captured covertly of the cabin unveil that the Mahindra XUV E8 electric SUV will feature a consolidated display panel housing three generously sized screens. The vehicle boasts a two-spoke steering wheel reminiscent of the design found in the latest Tata Safari model. Its central console bears a resemblance to the original concept, showcasing a conventional automatic gear selector alongside a circular dial for selecting various drive modes.

The Mahindra XUV.e8 could receive a dual motor setup and a battery pack with a capacity of 60-80kWh capacity, with the power output expected to range between 335bhp and 389bhp. It is claimed to be one of the most Power efficient cars with all aspects from look to comfort to design it is a well-designed and comfort-friendly car which is totally value for money.

In August of last year, Mahindra unveiled its lineup of electric vehicles, encompassing several models. Today, our focus is on one of these models, the XUV.e8, which has recently been observed undergoing testing. This electric vehicle bears a striking resemblance to the XUV700. It has garnered speculation among many individuals who posit that it serves as the electric variant of the XUV700.

Mahindra has officially announced that the production model of the SUV will feature an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system as a standard offering. Additionally, the electric variant is projected to deliver a power output ranging between 230bhp to 350bhp.
