Firm Power In Upcoming Force Gurkha Pickup Truck There is a significant global demand for pickup trucks, with some models also available in the Indian market. The Isuzu V-Cross Hi-Lander starts at Rs 19.49 lakh, while the Toyota Hilux starts at Rs 30.4 lakh. Within a more affordable range, the Tata Xenon XT and Mahindra Scorpio Gateway are priced below Rs 10 lakh. Additionally, Force Motors is currently testing a pickup truck based on its Gurkha model, which is expected to be priced at around Rs 15 lakh. The production model is anticipated to closely resemble the testing unit and may be launched soon.

The Force Gurkha pickup truck has been sighted previously, notably when Repuliq Motors, based in Indonesia, showcased it initially for military applications at the Defense Expo and Forum, branded under the Kshatriya name. Remarkably, the company outfitted this pickup truck with a missile launcher. The forthcoming Force Gurkha pickup is anticipated to adopt a design reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6X6. During recent testing in India, the model was observed without camouflage. It’s worth noting that this pickup is not solely designed as a traditional pickup truck but rather is based on the cruiser MUV platform.

Force Gurkha Pickup Truck Specification

Force Motors has adapted the pickup truck from its MUV platform, necessitating modifications to its body design. Notably, it features a truck-like tailgate, departing from the cruiser’s side-hinged bottom-half tailgate. Leveraging its MUV foundation, it is expected to be competitively priced. The rear portion has been repurposed into a loading bay, distinguishing it from its cruiser counterpart, which typically accommodates eight passengers. Equipped with a 4X4 drivetrain and powered by a Mercedes-Benz engine, it also boasts a sliding windshield window for enhanced versatility. Sporting 18” alloy wheels akin to the 5-door Gurkha and taillights reminiscent of the cruiser MUV, its front facade mirrors the Gurkha’s aesthetic appeal.

Force Gurkha Pickup Truck Engine Specification

Force Motors maintains consistency across its passenger and commercial vehicle lineup by equipping them all with the FM CR 2.6L turbo diesel engine, procured from Mercedes-Benz. This engine delivers a power output of 90 bhp and a torque of 250 Nm. The pickup truck is expected to feature a singular 5-speed gearbox along with a 4X4 mechanical locking differential system for enhanced traction and off-road capabilities.

Apart from all the above features 18-inch alloy wheels are also seen with a snorkel and grill for the windshield. Additionally, the pickup truck features a flatbed load bay with G-Class-inspired lighting elements, which is shorter in height than the Cargo King test mule. However, this will be a chassis version without any load bay.

Overall this  Force Motor Gurkha is a Complete package for both Trek Enthusiasts and Off-Road Rider.
