Revolutionizing Women’s Health Care With MIDI Women’s health, particularly during the menopausal transition, is often overlooked. Menopause marks a critical period when women may confront unfamiliar health challenges. It is imperative to prioritize women’s health during this phase, as many ailments may go undetected and untreated. Regrettably, the underlying causes of such conditions often remain elusive, prolonging women’s suffering. Therefore, it is essential to enhance awareness, diagnosis, and treatment strategies to mitigate the burden of menopausal-related illnesses on women’s health.

The realization of the challenges faced by women during the menopausal phase motivated Strober to launch Midi Health. After a comprehensive period of understanding the complexities involved, Strober recognized the myriad symptoms associated with this stage of life and the scarcity of adequately trained healthcare providers catering to this demographic. With Strober’s innovative solution, women now have seamless access to healthcare professionals specialized in addressing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms and treatments through Midi Health’s platform.

Strober emphasized that apps like Midi are not designed solely for providing quick, one-time care or treatment, as seen in many contemporaneous companies. Instead, Midi serves as a platform facilitating the establishment of enduring relationships between women and healthcare providers, fostering a sense of visibility and understanding. Additionally, Strober highlighted the significance of launching a platform that delivers care directly to women, eliminating the need for them to seek in-person healthcare services.

Strober identified a persistent gap in addressing long-term women’s health issues and took proactive steps to provide a solution through telehealth. She asserts that Midi stands out significantly from existing market counterparts, enabling its continuous growth and successful fundraising efforts despite decreasing interest from venture capitalists (VCs) in the sector. Notably, the company recently secured a substantial $60 million Series B funding round, led by Emerson Collective, with notable participation from Google Ventures, SteelSky Ventures, and Muse Capital, among others, bringing Midi’s total funding to $99 million.

Prior to Midi, Strober spearheaded a healthcare startup addressing child obesity at a time when digital health was still emerging. This prior experience significantly shaped her approach to building Midi. With the recent infusion of funding, Midi is poised to extend its healthcare services into realms encompassing perimenopause and menopause, including areas such as sexual wellness, hair and skin care, and enhanced access to testosterone-related treatments.

It is imperative to raise awareness regarding the potential impact of conditions such as perimenopause and menopause on women’s mental well-being, in addition to their physical health.
