The company asserts that Gemini 1.5 Pro is nearly on par with Gemini 1.0 Ultra. A significant update in this new model is the refined safety protocols. Google emphasizes its continuous attention to the risks associated with potent AI models and has thus incorporated new filters to mitigate potential harm.

Gemini was developed by Google and its parent company, Alphabet, and was introduced as the most sophisticated AI model in the company’s history. Google DeepMind has also played a substantial role in the advancement of Gemini. Following the release of Gemini Advanced for users, Google has unveiled its next-generation AI model, Gemini 1.5.

The company asserts that the latest iteration of Gemini offers superior performance compared to its predecessors. According to Google, the Gemini 1.5 version excels in various tasks including extended coding sessions, text summarization, and image processing. Positioned as a mid-sized multimodal model, Gemini 1.5 occupies a strategic position between the Gemini 1.0 Pro and the Gemini 1.0 Ultra in terms of capabilities and features.

Availability Of Gemini 1.5 Pro

Gemini 1.5 Pro is currently accessible exclusively to enterprise users of Google AI Studio and Vertex AI. The company has not disclosed a timeline for the public release of Gemini 1.5 Pro. Presently, regular users of Google AI can access the free trial of Gemini Advanced Chatbot, capable of tasks like coding and image creation, and it can even serve as a substitute for Google Assistant on Android smartphones.

It’s worth mentioning that Google has initiated the rollout of the Gemini app in India, expanding its availability beyond America. Additionally, Google is updating the Google app on iOS devices, enabling users of iPhones and iPads to utilize the Gemini Chatbot service.
