Kia India has yet to disclose any details regarding the official launch of this SUV. Currently, it is slated to be exclusively showcased to potential customers, without confirmation of its availability for purchase in the Indian market.
Notably, this won’t be the first time this SUV model has made an appearance among Indian consumers, as its third-generation variant was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The SUV boasts a range of engine options including petrol, diesel, and hybrid variants in the global market. Additionally, it incorporates numerous advanced features that set it apart from the Kia Seltos currently offered in the Indian market.

The Kia Sorento has been redesigned to embody the characteristics of a mainstream SUV, with the latest generation model boasting an even more assertive and muscular appearance. The front bumper features a sleek design and incorporates a sizable air intake. The Sorento SUV available in the global market is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo-petrol hybrid engine, featuring a 44.2 kW electric motor and a 1.49 kW lithium battery pack. Together, the engine and electric motor produce a power output of 230 horsepower and a torque of 350 Nm. In addition to the hybrid option, this SUV is also offered with a 2.5-liter non-hybrid variant.
The non-hybrid variant of the Sorento SUV features an engine capable of generating 191 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque. Additionally, it offers a diesel engine option for the global market, boasting a 2.2-liter diesel engine with a power output of 202 horsepower. It is expected that the Kia Sorento Luxury SUV will have an initial price range starting from 15 to 16 lakhs and it will most probably be launched in October 2024 as per rumours and revealed information.
