In this ongoing trend, the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur has unveiled a remarkable creation: a flying car that once existed only in the realm of imagination.

Rooted in scientific principles, the students have engineered a sophisticated control system capable of seamless operation both in water and air. This hybrid vehicle stands as a testament to their ingenuity and technical prowess. Its versatility renders it highly practical, facilitating movement across beaches and rivers with ease.

To enhance the efficiency of their research endeavors, the research team devised a mathematical system to govern the operation of this innovative vehicle. This mathematical framework serves to streamline the research process, ensuring optimal outcomes. The paper detailing this groundbreaking research was authored by Dr. Jayant Kumar Mohanta from IIT Jodhpur, alongside research scholar Jai Khatri, Professor Sandeep Gupta from IIT Kanpur, and Professor Santkumar Mohan from IIT Palakkad. Dr. Mohanta, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur, highlighted the capabilities of the prototype, emphasizing its ability to navigate various terrains with ease.

Remarkably, the prototype functions akin to a ship on water, takes flight in the air, and remains operational even when submerged underwater. With a flight duration of 15 minutes and an impressive underwater endurance of 8 hours, the prototype stands as a testament to the advancements in this field. In recent years, there has been a surge in research interest in this domain, yet only a handful of countries, including the United States and China, possess similar technological capabilities at present.
